Solihull Collection

The collection of an exceptional ex-soldier (and musician) and his partner who live in the affluent town of Solihull in the English West Midlands.  After down-sizing their home they found regretfully that they would also have to 'down-size' their art collection as well.  As lovers of the work of Peter Samuelson (1912-96) they had amassed quite a collection of his work over the years.  After great consideration they decided to let go the paintings of his that appear on this page whilst continuing to display his remaining paintings in their home.  There are also paintings by other more contemporary artists such as Andrew Potter and Cornelius McCarthy which they also collected over the years - plus other interesting artworks including ''Cricket Captain" from mid-19th century.
