"The House of Doves" are a series of paintings and drawings inspired by a bordello encountered by McCarthy on his trip to Mexico in the 1990's. The first group of paintings in the series were exhibited in his Mexico Exhibition in 1998 at the Adonis Gallery. It was a theme that inspired him right up to up to his death in 2009.
